Former Manchester United Midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger Has Revealed That Jose Mourinho Banned Him From Entering The First Team Dressing Room

Mourinho Banned Schweinsteiger From Dressing Room

Former Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has revealed that Jose Mourinho banned him from entering the first-team dressing room.

Schweinsteiger, who joined United from Bayern Munich in 2015, made just 18 appearances for the club before being frozen out by Mourinho.

The German midfielder has now revealed that Mourinho told him he was not good enough to play for United and that he was not allowed to train with the first team.

"I was told by Mourinho that I was not good enough to play for Manchester United," Schweinsteiger told FourFourTwo.

"He said that I was not allowed to train with the first team and that I had to train with the reserves.

"I was shocked and disappointed. I had always been a first-team player at Bayern Munich and I couldn't believe that I was being treated like this at Manchester United.

"I tried to speak to Mourinho about it, but he refused to listen. He just kept telling me that I was not good enough.

"It was a very difficult time for me. I was training with the reserves and I was not playing. I felt like I was being punished for something I had not done.

"I eventually left Manchester United in 2017 and joined Chicago Fire. I am now playing regularly and I am enjoying my football again.

"I have no regrets about leaving Manchester United. I am grateful for the opportunity to have played for such a great club, but I am also glad that I am now playing regularly and enjoying my football again.
